On many levels 2020 has been a challenging year for all of us. It is our sincerest hope, that as we move into 2021, we will all be moving toward a brighter, more productive and fulfilling future.
In 2020, we were fortunate to be able to see some of you in person before the pandemic restrictions started. But, for many of you, this was not possible; and we had to switch to our alternate methods. We appreciate your cooperation in using our drop off, mail in, and portal services. We were all able to work together to get your tax returns filed.
In 2021, because of the COVID restrictions still in place, we are not going to be able to operate as normal. This means that once again we are asking for your cooperation for this upcoming tax season. Our goal is to be able to safely prepare and file your tax return. Our check-in this year will be curbside – our lobby will be closed. When you come for your appointment please look for the signs that will be posted in our parking lot. The signs will have instructions for check-in. We are asking that you limit the number of people that you bring with you. We need to limit the number of people in the building; so, we are asking that you bring only people that are signing the return.
All appointments this year will be curbside. This is is a new service this year. Basically, you come to your appointment and check in via the parking lot instructions. We will come out to your car and get your documents. The preparer will call you while he is preparing your return, then when they are almost finished, you will come in to sign and pay. Your return will be finished and filed while you are there. This is a limited contact option that will allow us to personally see more clients without exceeding our capacity limits for the building.
For those of you who wish to use our drop off services: We have a new drop box located on the porch by the front door. The box is available 24 hours.
Our portal service is gaining popularity with our clients as it is easy to use with no contact. Please call our office for instructions if you would like to use this secure option to get your documents to us.
You may also mail your documents via USPS:
PO Box 190
Smiths Grove, KY 42171
(*make sure to get a tracking number)
We have been working hard all year to develop better ways to serve you and we will continue to work hard to provide you with the great service that you are accustomed to in the safest way possible. We ask for patience this season as we navigate what is hopefully our last tax season with COVID restrictions. Currently, there have been no announcements for an extension of the regular deadline like last year. Because of this and the restrictions on capacity we are asking for you to please consider using one of our alternate services. If you do have an appointment scheduled, please try to keep your appointment or let us know if you cannot.
Thank you,
The Vincent Group Team
